FEPE and Two Sides Cooperation

FEPE is a proud member of Two Sides, the global initiative that promotes the sustainability and attractiveness of print, paper, and paper-based packaging. By joining forces, FEPE supports the mission to share fact-based information on the renewable, recyclable, and sustainable qualities of envelopes and light packaging.

The cooperation between FEPE and Two Sides plays an important role in supporting members in addressing environmental claims, countering greenwashing, and promoting the sustainability credentials of envelopes and paper-based packaging. This collaboration is closely aligned with FEPE’s objective to provide members with reliable, evidence-based tools to defend and promote their businesses.

Understanding consumer perceptions

Through Two Sides, FEPE has access to global consumer insight, including biannual surveys that track public perceptions of print, paper, and fibre-based packaging. These insights confirm that print and paper-based packaging are positively valued by consumers, particularly in areas such as education, reading, and e-commerce delivery.

At the same time, the research highlights persistent gaps in consumer understanding regarding forestry growth, recycling rates, and the circular nature of paper-based products. This underlines the importance of continued, clear, and factual communication by the industry.

Communication materials

As part of the cooperation, you can gain exclusive access to a wide range of Two Sides communication materials. These resources are designed to support practical, everyday communication and can be easily integrated into members’ own activities.
